West End Butchers is a proudly independent, family-run business with roots stretching back to the 1970s.

Founded as Ardler Butchers by Ian Dunbar Jnr and his father, Ian Snr, the shop began as a father-and-son venture and quickly earned a reputation for it’s high-quality produce and exceptional customer service—building a loyal following within the local community.

In 2002, as part of the Ardler regeneration project, the business was forced to relocate. Taking over the current premises from a retiring Butcher, the business relocated to the Perth Road and rebranded as West End Butchers. The move marked a new chapter, but the commitment to traditional craft and outstanding service remained the same.

Over the years, the shop has grown steadily, expanding its premises in 2010 and strengthening its reputation as a trusted, community-focused butcher. Well known for its personal touch and reliably high quality, West End Butchers has established themselves as a cornerstone of the local community.

Now blending tradition with modern convenience, the business offers local delivery, online ordering, a website, and a mobile app—making it easier than ever for customers to enjoy their favourite products. Through all its growth, one thing has remained unchanged: a dedication to providing the very best, locally sourced produce at fair and affordable prices.

We’re also one of only a handful of butchers in the region offering poultry sourced exclusively from UK farms, ensuring traceability, high animal welfare standards, and food safety.
